Red Sox rolling rally will be similar to 2004

Boston is planning a victory celebration Tuesday for the world champion Red Sox that will be similar to the "rolling rally" in 2004 , with a duck boat parade starting at noon that will carry the team from Fenway Park through the streets of the Back Bay and past the Boston Common and City Hall Plaza.

The parade will pass three jumbo television screens and include a flatbed truck carrying the Dropkick Murphys , the Irish-style punk band whose music has become the soundtrack for the spirited Sox closer -- and step-dancer - Jonathan Papelbon.

In a World Series Game 4 at Coors Field that turned into an all-out thriller, Jon Lester shut out the Colorado Rockies for 5 2/3 innings, and the Red Sox held on for a 4-3 victory, wrapping up their seventh title in the franchise's 107-year history.

Unlucky and, in some minds, cursed during the 20th century, the Red Sox became the first team to win two World Series titles twice in the 21st Century.

Mike Lowell and Bobby Kielty homered, and David Ortiz and Jason Varitek also drove in runs. Lowell's seventh-inning home run was the latest and possibly last contribution for the popular third baseman, who is a free agent after this season.

Mike Lowell, whose career was saved by batting behind Ortiz and Ramirez, leads off with a double. J.D. Drew, who was dropped in the last month of my Rotisserie season, grounds out to Cook. But Varitek gets a ground ball though the right side of the infield to drive in Lowell, who dives in head first to avoid the tag. Lugo squeezes a hit up the middle. First and second, and Lester in a bunting situation. And, of course, Cook gets him to a 3-2 count, before Lester strikes out on a bunt attempt. The layoff since Aug. 10 appears to have caught up to Cook, but he gets Ellsbury to chase a ball in the dirt to strike out and end the inning. Cook will probably be out of the game, as he scheduled to bat second in the inning.

They say Cook is a good-hitting pitcher an he takes a good cut. But he is no Dice-K and flies out to right. Kaz Matsui looks foolish on the first two pitches (Met fans can remember that sight) but lines the third over the head of Manny Ramirez, who misplayed it. But Troy Tulowitzski strikes out for the second time in the game and Lester blows away Holliday with a high fastball to end the inning. Could end up being the key out if Lester goes on a roll.

Todd Helton leads off the inning with a double to the left field gap. Ortiz flashes some leather at first base, saving an errant throw from Julio Lugo as Garrett Atkins is thrown out at first. Ryan Spilborghs advances the runner to third on a fly out to center. Brad Hawpe walks. With the pitcher on deck, Yorvit Torrealba goes down 0-2 and grounds out weakly to short. Lester is one of those lefties with a big sweeping curve. He reminds me of Sid Fernandez. Doesn't looks a thing like him, but there is something about his release point.

It is 67 degrees and clear as the Rockies take the field. The Red Sox have only one player in their starting eight who is batting under .333, and that is Jason Varitek, who is hitting .273. Jacoby Ellsbury leads off the game with a double, and after Dustin Pedroia grounds out to third, David Ortiz drives him home with a single past the drawn-in infield. A Manny Ramirez double play ends the inning.

The opening game montage features a face-painted Yankee fan sitting in from of Derek Jeter's parents during the World Series. The yahoo tells them that Jeter will be Mr. November. Insipid. Insulting to Yankee fans and baseball fans in general. But somewhere, someone at Fox must have thought it was inspired. It is like they haven't recovered from the glowing puck.

The Colorado Rockies showed plenty of fight Saturday night in Game 3 of the World Series, but once again it wasn't enough, and the Boston Red Sox won, 10-5, to take a commanding 3-0 Series lead in the cool mountain air of Denver. The Red Sox shot out to a 6-0 lead, but the Rockies made a game of it in the seventh inning when Matt Holliday hit a dramatic three-run homer that pulled the Rockies to within a run at 6-5. But Boston's relentless offensive barrage couldn't be stopped, and the Sox answered right back with a three-run eighth that put Colorado away. In particular, Red Sox rookies Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia came up big with clutch RBI doubles.

The Rockies are now in a dangerous position, within one loss of a World Series sweep after entering the Fall Classic having won 21 of their last 22 games. Meanwhile, the Red Sox have won six in a row since falling behind the Cleveland Indians, 3-1, in the American League Championship Series, and are one victory away from their second world title in the last four years.

Ellsbury is having a heck of a night. He flies to right and keeps it just fair and just out of the reach of a sliding Hawpe. Lugo is in to score. Runners at second and third with one out.

Pedroia comes through with a huge double to right field. Ellsbury and Krisp score. Fuentes is struggling. Red Sox rookies are gettin' it done. 7 for 10 on the night between Ellsbury and Pedroia.

Youk grounds out to third and Manny ends the inning with a pop-up to shallow right.

Kaz starts out the inning with a great bunt down the third base line and advances himself with a steal. Thank goodness we don't have to hear anything about Taco Bell.

Up steps Tulo and he sends a ground ball to center, pushing Kaz to third. Okajima comes in to relieve.

Here comes Matt Holliday, who many feel should be the National League MVP, AND IT IS GOOOOONE!!!!! Three-run home run to straightaway center, bringing home Kaz and Tulo. As soon as it was off the bat everybody knew. The energy is electric.

Helton is a fighter. He continues to foul balls off and finally comes up with a single to shallow right.

Atkins goes down swinging. First out of the inning for Boston. This is followed by a battle between Okajima and Hawpe, with Hawpe going down swinging on a nice pitch. Two down.

Another drawn out at bat that ends with Okajima getting the better of the Yorvit. The inning ends, but the Rockies are officially back in the game.

Three things to watch

Rockies hitters. Daisuke Matsuzaka will run up a high pitch count if the Rockies let him. If they swing early in the count, that means they're pressing. The temptation to do too much will be there since they've been struggling -- and since this will be the first World Series game at Coors Field.

The Red Sox defense. With no DH, Terry Francona had to decide who to sit: David Ortiz, Kevin Youkilis or Mike Lowell. If Boston was concerned primarily about defense, the obvious call would have been sitting Ortiz. But the way he has been mashing, he must be in the lineup. Youkilis has been hot, so should he have moved to third while Lowell sat? That arrangement would have required the Red Sox to insert new defensive players at two positions. I would have done what Francona is doing: play Big Papi at first in Game 3 and sit Youkilis.

Okajima is masterful. He gets the first two outs, fanning Taveras looking on three pitches and Matsuii swinging. He strikes out four in two and one-third perfect innings before Francona turns to Papelbon for a four-out save. The Red Sox closer will have to go through the heart of the Rockies order, starting with their M.V.P. candidate, Holliday.

Holliday gets his fourth single of the night, this time turning a 97 mph fastball back up the middle, either hitting Papelbon or just missing him. Pedroia tweaks his wrist on a diving stop, but he has no play.

What a shame! Helton doesn't even get to see a pitch; Holliday is picked off first, never even making it back to the bag. I say a shame because this has been a beautifully played game, and I hate to see a mistake take some of the edge off of it. It would've been great theater to see Papelbon battle Helton with the tying run on base.

Pedroia works a tough eight-pitch at-bat before grounding out to short. Nice job by Herges, not giving in. Youkilis works an 0-2 count to 3-2, battling all the way. The temperature is in the 40s, and Youk has sweat dripping off his batting helmet. Herges walks him on nine pitches and then heads to the dugout. The left-hander Brian Fuentes will face Big Papi.

Holliday collects his third hit of the game before Helton works an eight-pitch walk on 3-2 with one out. That sends Schilling to the showers to a healthy ovation. Francona calls on Hideki Okajima to face Atkins and Hawpe. Atkins moves the runners up with a soft grounder to first. Hawpe strikes out on three pitches — 77 mph, 90, 84 — and looked bad doing it.

All the talk was about Dice-K and then Igawa last off-season, but of the players to come from Japan this year, Okajima has easily had the biggest impact.

Royce Clayton and Ellsbury, I think, just earned themselves a nice endorsement deal with Taco Bell. I'm not much for the obvious product placement bit, but I have to admit, this one has made me laugh. There's plenty of cheese on these tacos. Clayton should take his schtick on the road. Jimenez sure makes Apodaca look smart. He tells the kid, just throw strikes, "With your stuff, you'll get outs." When he does it, he gets outs. When he doesn't he gets in trouble. Of course, it's tough to challenge Ortiz, who drew a two-out walk.

Torrealba must have lost faith in the kid's fastball, because with Pedroia and Youkilis he called for it, but with the bigger hitters he called for the curve and slider. Bad decision, I say. The fastball was still clicking between 93 and 96. On a 1-2 pitch to Manny, a 97 mph fastball got a lot of plate, but Ramirez could only foul it off. On an off-speed pitch though, Manny singles to left. Then Lowell doesn't see a fastball in four pitches, and he doubles into the left-field corner to score Papi and send Ramirez to third. (Was it a surprise to see Manny get careless at third and nearly get tagged out?) That it for Jimenez, five walks and 91 pitches in four and two-thirds innings. Jeremy Affeldt, one of the bright spots out of the pen last night, relieves and walks Drew to load the bases.

Matt Herges, who also pitched well last night, is called on to face Varitek. Herges pulled himself off the scrap heap last off-season. He went to the minors, worked his way back to the big leagues, and right now is as close to a World Series hero as the Rockies have. He gets Varitek to pop out to left.

I'm amazed how a trip to the mound by a big-league pitching coach isn't very different from that of a little league coach. Apodaca delivers a nice little pep talk, but I'm not sure it helps. Jimenez gets in trouble because of the walks again.

Lowell walks with one out and takes third on a heads-up play on Drew's single to right. It seemed to me Hawpe was slow getting to the ball, maybe even a little nonchalant. Lowell took advantage and tied the score on Varitek's long sacrifice fly to center. (After seeing Taveras's throw to third to try to catch Drew, I won't be surprised to see even the station-to-station Sox try to run on his arm.) Ellsbury draws another walk, but Lugo leaves them stranded.

Two notes: Third base umpire Mike Everitt made a great call on Lugo's foul ball down the line. He had to be worried for his life on that ball, got out of the way, but kept his head on the call.

Thanks to Ellsbury for a stolen base that earned all of America a free taco!

Schilling continues to cruise. Holliday gets his second hit of the game, but Schilling gets two flyballs to retire Helton and Atkins and then Hawpe pops out.

Youkilis clearly didn't like Jimenez's pitch over his head in the third. There's no way the kid was throwing at him, but Youkilis was sixth in the American League in being hit by a pitch this season, getting plunked 15 times. He went on record after getting hit five times in the first 31 games that he was tired of being the object of everyone's target practice.

What a different game from last night. Game 1 moved along at a crawl. Tonight, both pitchers working quickly and efficiently. Schilling is the picture of the former hard-thrower who has successfully made the transition from power-pitcher to elder statesman. He's not a finesse pitcher, but he's got the curveball and split making his modest fastball a killer. He's working hitters, taking them up the ladder.

Forgot to mention after the bottom of the second….the Rockies came in with a rep for defense, and Atkins has backed that up in the first two games. He made two more impressive plays tonight.

Kevin Kennedy correctly pointed out that Jimenez often struggles with his control. His eight walks in two postseason starts might explain why he pitched only 11 1/3 innings to two otherwise dominating outings. It's already a totally different look for the Rockies. Last night, Josh Beckett threw nothing but fastballs in striking out the side in the first. Schilling is already changing speeds and locations. His fastball is barely 90 m.p.h., as opposed to Beckett's 97.

Aggressive base running by Taveras is just what the Rockies need to stop the bleeding. After being hit by a pitch, he goes all the way to third on Holliday's smash off Lowell's glove. Taveras was running on the play and beat Schilling to the third-base bag. That move allows him to score on Helton's groundout, the Rockies' first lead of the series.

Good evening, everyone. Back in soggy Freehold, N.J. tonight for what we hope is a more competitive Game 2. But if it's another blowout, one way or another, we'll still be there with you at the end of the bar or the end of the couch to commiserate, analyze, discuss and maybe even poke fun at the festivities and the participants. So join the discussion by making comments early and often, but keep them clean so I can publish them all. Just refresh your screen once the game starts to get updates every half-inning or so.

If last night's Rockies collapse had anything to do with rust, they better have taken a steel brush to it overnight, because all that momentum from winning 21 out of 22 games will not mean a thing if they have to go back to Denver in an 0-2 hole. If it was a case of wilting under the bright lights, well, the young Rockies better grow up fast.

The Red Sox, who have plenty of their own momentum, would seem to have the advantage in the pitching matchup. Curt Schilling, who made his name as a money pitcher by helping the Arizona Diamondbacks defeat the Yankees in the 2001 World Series, goes for Boston. He has made 18 career postseason starts and is 10-2 with a 2.25 earned run average. He's 2-1 in the World Series, with a 2.11 e.r.a. But Schilling will be 41 next month, and Tim Wakefield's unavailability for this series has forced the Sox to pitch Schilling with a little less rest than they would've preferred. Since returning from shoulder problems in August, Schilling has fared better with longer rest. He will have four days' rest tonight, in what could be his last start with Boston, or even the last of his career.

Colorado, meanwhile, turns to a 23-year-old rookie who had a 5.85 e.r.a. with Class AAA Colorado Springs this season. Ubaldo Jimenez is a hard-throwing right-hander whose fastball has hit 100 m.p.h. but who made only 15 big-league starts after getting called up in mid-July. He has been overpowering in the postseason, going 2-0 with a 1.59 e.r.a. Working on his side could be Boston's results against relatively unknown pitchers. Among the rookie starters who beat the Sox this year were Kei Igawa, Brian Burres, Andrew Miller, Andy Sonnanstine and Jesse Litsch (twice).

If Rockies fans are looking for hope, they should visit whatifsports.com. The site, which says it predicted last year's Cardinals victory over the Tigers, came close to nailing last night's result, predicting an 11-2 blow-out. And whatifsports says the Rockies will win the series in seven games, starting with an 8-4 victory tonight, behind two homers by Brad Hawpe. He struck out four times in Game 1, so he's due for redemption.

Our Times experts up in Fenway currently report a beautiful, crisp autumn night with a full moon and no rain. It's colder than last night, but there was even a pretty sunset, I'm told.

These are the moments that make or break a game for a young pitcher. Heck, maybe they make or break his career. After two innings of complimenting Jimenez on his control and criticizing the Sox for not making him work — and directly after the pitching coach Bob Apodaca told him to keep throwing strikes — he walks Pedroia and Youk after two were out. One of the balls to Youkilis soared over his head.

Jimenez fell behind Ortiz, 2-1, but battled back by getting a couple of foul balls — one of which missed being a three-run jack by a couple of feet. But an off-speed pitch fooled Ortiz and he escaped.

NEW YORK -- The Yankees could have a new manager by the end of the week, with Don Mattingly believed to be the front-running candidate.

After inviting Joe Girardi, Mattingly and Tony Pena to the club's headquarters in Tampa, Fla., for lengthy interviews on three consecutive days, the Yankees met again Thursday to discuss who should be selected as Joe Torre's successor.

General manager Brian Cashman and senior vice president of baseball operations Mark Newman joined Hank Steinbrenner and others Thursday at Legends Field, according to the Associated Press.

Three things to watch

1. Will the Rockies show up? Forget the rust factor. Even if the Rockies' eight-day layoff played a part in their embarrassing Game 1 performance, they did their best not to use it as an excuse. "We heard all the talk about the eight days, so you have to answer the questions," catcher Yorvit Torrealba said. "But that's over with now. We're just down one game, and we need a win."

2. Curt Schilling's departure. Expect him to get a huge ovation whenever he exits the game Thursday night. The hometown fans will use the opportunity to thank him for all he's done in a Red Sox uniform. Schilling becomes a free agent after the season and it's 50-50 at best that he re-signs with the Sox. As popular as Schilling is, GM Theo Epstein has shown good sense in knowing when to let aging players walk (Pedro Martinez and Johnny Damon, for example).

3. Ubaldo Jimenez. The Rockies are putting their season in the hands of a 23-year-old, 6-4 righthander who throws as hard as anyone in the game. The big question: Will the fact he hasn't faced the Red Sox favor him or the Red Sox hitters? Unfamiliarity usually works in the pitcher's favor, but the circumstances are a bit different for a rookie pitching in Fenway Park with his team down 1-0 in the World Series.

The Colorado Rockies will try again to sell World Series tickets through their Web site starting on Tuesday at noon.
Spokesman Jay Alves said tonight that the failure of Monday's ticket sales happened because the system was brought down today by an "external malicious attack."

There was a presale that "went well":

The Colorado Rockies had a chance Sunday to test their online-sales operation in advance.
Season-ticket holders who had previously registered were able to log in with a special password to buy extra tickets.

Alves said the presale went well, with no problems.

But some people found glitches, such as being told to "enable cookies" and to set their computer security to the "lowest level." And some fans couldn't log in at all.

Alves explained that those who saw a "page cannot be displayed" message had "IP addresses that we blocked due to suspicious/malicious activity to our website during the last 24 to 48 hours. As an example, if several inquiries came from a single IP address they were blocked."

Certainly scalpers have an incentive to attack this system.

As part of that 5th inning rally, the Red Sox drew three consecutive bases-loaded walks. No one has said that that's a record, not that I've seen anyway, but I find it hard to believe that it wouldn't be.

In the first five innings, Josh Beckett threw 79 pitches. Four Rockies pitchers combined to throw 156.

Craig Erickson, who heads Wind Crest in Denver, said he will provide steak dinners to residents at Brooksby Village in Peabody, Massachusetts, if the Rockies lose to the Red Sox in the World Series. In return, Jim Windgardner, who heads Brooksby Village, said he will provide lobster dinners to residents at Wind Crest if the Red Sox lose to the Rockies.

"The Rockies are a team of destiny, "said Erickson. "I'm looking forward to eating lobster with Wind Crest residents as we watch snow fall in the distance on the Rocky Mountains."

Luckily for the Rockies, baseball is a game where every day is a new day, and the score from the night before is erased back to 0-0 when you start the next game.

After last night's ass-whooping, they'll send rookie starter Ubaldo Jimenez out to try to contain the Red Sox, who pounded Colorado to the tune of 17 hits and 13 runs in Game 1.

The Sox counter with Curt Schilling. Surely his experience and postseason prowess will be heavily talked about by Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Also look for many references to the age difference between Jimenez and Schilling - "When Schilling was pitching in his first World Series, Ubaldo Jimenez was nine years old!" If you need some extra entertainment to go with your World Series viewing, I'm sure a drinking game could be devised around comments like these.

Can Jimenez stop the bleeding? Going into tonight's game, Jimenez, like Jeff Francis before him, is having a very good postseason. He's 2-0 and has surrendered only 8 hits and 2 runs in 11.1 innings pitched.

I've been a baseball fan my whole life. My team is the Giants and I follow them with something bordering on obsession. I think of the 2002 World Series almost every day. The Giants entered the seventh inning of game six leading the Angels 5-0, and they had a 3-2 series lead. They lost that game and the series, and still haven't won a World Series since moving to California. One of my earliest memories is going to Candlestick Park with my dad and sitting just off first base, and being transfixed by Willie McCovey (my all-time favorite player). It's like it was yesterday. I go to Spring Training and act like the games count. Enough said…

BOSTON -- Sitting over there in the Boston dugout is the first baseman, who in 708 major league games hit only 16 home runs.

On the other side in the Colorado dugout is the outfielder, who once hit .417 in a World Series. Either of them in the lineup Wednesday night? Nah. They're the managers.

To understand the success of Terry Francona and Clint Hurdle, ex-players and current button pushers, you need only hear them talk. The words are calm, astute, rational.

Hurdle somehow kept his Rockies job through five straight losing seasons. Good thing for him, probably, that so many in Denver were easily distracted by the Broncos. Until lately.

Francona, who mentioned how four losing seasons as Philadelphia manager can toughen a fellow, has presided over the first Boston title in 86 years, a humbling of the Yankees, and two World Series trips. In this neighborhood, that is considered not a bad start.

When the Boston Red Sox won the deciding game of the 2004 World Series I was on a return flight to Israel and received the news at 4 a.m. from the crew's captain.

At the time, being notified over the Atlantic Ocean that my hometown's baseball team won its first championship in 86 years left me, literally, with little room to jump up and down.

Instead, I was strapped into a chair, only able lift up my hands and salute the Old Town Team until I returned to Jerusalem to watch the highlights.

Now that the Red Sox are once again in the World Series, this time competing against the Colorado Rockies, and having just been in the US where I attended my first baseball game in six years at Boston's Fenway Park, I'm extremely excited for the prospect of another championship banner.

However, this year Jerusalem members of "Red Sox Nation," as its global fanbase is often referred to, have the growing tradition of Rockies fans to contend with, even though the Colorado club is only 15 years old compared to the 106-year history of the Red Sox.

Former Negro League star Buck O'Neil died last year without earning in a place in baseball's Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Commissioner Bud Selig and Hall of Famer Joe Morgan are just a few of the folks who regretted that O'Neil never earned the honor, and they helped find a spot to honor his legacy in the Hall of Fame.

Before Game 1 of the World Series, the board of directors of the National Baseball Hall of Fame announced the creation of the Buck O'Neil Lifetime Achievement Award.

O'Neil will be the first recipient next year during the induction ceremony for the 2008 Hall of Fame class.

"I think it's a great, great honor," said Morgan, vice chairman of the Hall of Fame. "In some ways it's going to even be bigger than getting a plaque in the Hall of Fame because your name is going to come up more frequently as we present the award.

The Red Sox picked up two more runs when Jason Varitek lashed a ground-rule double to left with the bases loaded, driving in Ortiz and Ramirez.

Franklin Morales replaced starter Jeff Francis on the mound for Colorado, and the flood began. Boston bashed Morales for seven runs – all with two outs – and six hits. Youkilis, Ortiz and Mike Lowell doubled to give the Red Sox eight two-base hits for the game. After Drew's single brought in a run and left the bases loaded, Ryan Speier replaced Morales and promptly walked in three more runs. Matt Herges finally got out of the inning by getting Youkilis to fly out.

Red Sox manager Terry Francona has announced that knuckleballer Tim Wakefield will not be on the team's World Series roster.

Francona had planned to start Wakefield in Games 2 and 6 of the World Series so that he would not have had to pitch in Colorado… but the recovery time from his shoulder injury is a concern to Wakefield and his doctors and, as a result, the pitcher will not be on the roster for the Fall Classic. The final roster does not have to be announced until tomorrow at 10AM… guessing here is that Julian Tavarez will fill the vacancy left by Wakefield.

According to Alves, the Colorado Rockies will announce new plans to sell the tickets at some point later Monday afternoon. He says the Web site received 8.5 million hits in the first 90 minutes the system was up and running.

The software breakdown that forced the Colorado Rockies to suspend World Series ticket sales has had a rolling effect on other area organizations, including the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, which crashed shortly after 10 a.m. and remains off-line for ticket sales.

The problem was a breakdown in the ticketing software operated by Paciolan, the Irving, Calif., ticketing company that processes ticket orders for more than 200 clients across five primary markets including college athletics, performing arts, arenas, professional sports and museums. The software breakdown affected other clients throughout the area who also use Paciolan, including the DCPA, the University of Colorado football team and the National Western Stock

World Series ticket sales suspended: "

ROCKIES HQ DENVER – Amid an angry crowd chanting 'We want tickets,' Rockies spokesperson Jay Alves announced World Series ticket sales have been suspended Monday.

Alves says virtually all the tickets are still available, due to a computer system malfunction. He says only several hundred tickets were sold.

'Right now we're shutting the system down …. We expect to be online at some point,' Alves said.

Fans booed as Alves made the announcement outside Coors Field.

'We're as frustrated and disappointed as they are,' Alves said of the fans.

Alves say they will not be selling the tickets at Coors Field. He says their goal is to get the computer system up and running again so that they can resume online sales.

The Red Sox tonight came back from being down 3 to 1 to beat the Cleveland Indians and go to the World Series.

"Good hunting weather," the Colorado Rockies first baseman said. "We don't have to go out on the field and practice today. That was my only other thought. It will be a short day for us, a good day. A good day to sit on the couch, I know that."

The snowstorm forced the Rockies indoors for their next-to-last workout before flying off to the AL champion's city for the World Series that starts Wednesday night.

Batters took their cuts in cages beneath the stands at Coors Field, and pitchers split up and threw off the indoor mounds next to the home and visitors' batting cages.

"I played street hockey in Canada," said pitcher Jeff Francis, a native of North Delta, B.C. "Do you think some snow is going to bother me?"

A few players ventured outside and tossed some baseballs and snowballs around near the tarp-covered infield, and after the snow stopped, right-hander Jason Hirsh went out to the warning track in right field where the snow wasn't sticking for some long toss.

The snowfall isn't necessarily a pretence to what the teams will face when the World Series returns to Denver on Saturday night.

"Well, we don't play here for another week and you know how the weather is here," Helton said. "It could be 80 degrees (26 C) in a week, so I'm not concerned about that."
